About Rachel

A qualified reflexologist and lawyer, who is passionate about reflexology and its power to transform your wellbeing.

Rachel's story

Rachel read English Literature at Oxford before building a career in intellectual property law. She spent over a decade at Baker McKenzie and BBC Studios, advising on high-profile commercial projects in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

During a period of personal challenge, navigating fertility difficulties, Rachel discovered reflexology. The treatment became a source of genuine calm and physical support during a time of significant stress. That experience changed her perspective on what meaningful work looked like.

Rachel retrained as a reflexologist, earning her ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology, and opened Cotherstone House from her home in Brixton Hill. She brings the same attention to detail and professional standards from her legal career to every treatment, combined with the warmth and care that comes from understanding first-hand what it means to need a space to decompress.

The space

Treatments take place in a glass-roofed garden conservatory with sage green walls, natural stone flooring, and vintage furniture. It's a calm, light-filled room surrounded by the garden, a genuine escape from the pace of London life.

The garden also houses a private barrel sauna, available as an add-on to reflexology sessions or as a standalone booking.

"Rachel's tranquil garden room felt like going on a weekend away! I felt lighter afterwards and it helped in the days that followed, ready to face anything."
